Downloaded stories keep working when the connection does not.
Approved story packages are private, checksummed, encrypted on the device, repairable, and designed to preserve the reading ritual through network failure.
Private on the device
Packages use app-private storage and Android Keystore-backed encryption. Signed server media links are short-lived and never become public URLs.
Honest failure states
Low storage, interrupted downloads, expired authorization, checksum failure, and repair are named clearly rather than hidden behind an endless spinner.
What remains available
Downloaded approved stories and their existing narration remain readable after a plan expires, subject to the package’s disclosed authorization policy.
